What They Are Saying About Brad Soucie

You cross paths with a lot of people in this profession, but some people transcend the business and leave a different mark on you. Brad has been a mentor to me, a friend , a sounding board, and someone I’ve enjoyed sharing a curiosity and quest to learn more about this ever changing craft of coaching and leadership. He is a great coach in terms of X’s and O’s, game planning and player development. But what separates him is his ability to build real relationships to help players become the best versions of who they were meant to be. Brad embodies the qualities and characteristics of someone that I would want my sons to play for. I admire him for being a role model of what it means to have the title of “Coach.”

“My family and I are so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Coach Soucie. He has spent countless hours helping us throughout Ava's basketball journey in so many ways. His training, recruiting guidance, and his day-to-day encouragement about faith and mental strength are just a few of the ways he has helped Ava. He is professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. "

“The one word I would use for Coach Soucie is care. When it comes to the game, he knows it. He knows how to develop his guys. Although I was in college, Coach Soucie helped me prepare for the NBA every day and always encouraged me to expand my game and become more versatile—because he always had a belief in me and my ability. But at the end of the day, he cared about me as a human being."

Malcolm Brogdon 2017 NBA Rookie of the Yea

“Coach Soucie had a huge impact on me while playing for him at the University of Virginia. He is easily the most emotionally intelligent and personable coach I’ve ever played for. The ultimate communicator, he was the rudder that steered the ship behind the scenes and was imperative to the success we had. Constantly taking guys aside to watch film and working with us individually for our skill development, he truly helped mold me into the player I am today. "
